I’m a hustler baby
I just want you to know
It aint where I been
But where I’m bout to go
Now I just wanna love you
But be who I am
And with all this cash
You’ll forget your man
Now give it to me
Gimme that funk, that sweet, that nasty, that gushi stuff
But don’t bullshit me
C’mon, gimme that funk, that sweet, that nasty, that gushi stuff

Whoa, is this a super post or what? I guess I have to make up for some lost time, no? In an attempt to convince more of you that these shoes truly are awesome, I had my friend Tess take some super close-up shots of my new babies. I’m sitting in my room right now and it’s a complete disaster. Shit is everywhere. Gotta walk on tippy-toes to make sure I don’t crush anything valuable.

Ok, I’m really, really sorry about not posting shit for the last little while. I’ve been minus my sister (aka photographer) and have had some bad luck with the tripod.  So yes….the ashsish booties!!! Aren’t they glorious? I’ll admit…even after seeing them on Lulu and Rumi, I still wasn’t convinced that these were as to-die-for as everyone was hyping them out to be. HOWEVER, when I saw them at TOPSHOP…I couldn’t resist giving them a try. Needless to say, as soon as I tried them on and towered over the sales people I was done. The deal was made. The sculptural detail, the leopard print, the texture of the shoe–it really lives up to the hype. If you have the means, buy them!

FLEA-ING IN BROOKLYN

So yesterday I went to Brooklyn to go flea-marketing under the Manhattan Bridge. Lucky for me, this Sunday was a little different than those in the past because they decided to incorporate music in the form of tables upon tables of vinyl! So much fun. I must say, I’ve become a huge treasure hunter as of late, and it just exhilerates me to no end when I’m surrounded by racks of well selected vintage duds. There were a lot of sequined jackets and furs, pirate and grannie boots, and in my favorite vendors’ makeshift stores: great designer vintage! I wasn’t able to take as many photos as I would have liked because there were a shit load of people there. I definitely saw my share of YSL, CHANEL, and even some Japanese designers–who knew!

Helllllloooooo! It’s day 6 in New York and I’m having a blast! My first day here was a little lonely, I will admit. I’ve been wandering around every day for a least 6 hours…which means my feet have become DISGUSTING! I need to look for new shoes….practical shoes!!! I’ve gone through Soho numerous times and walked 5th ave even more. Everything here has so much history and it’s great to see that this city has preserved all of that in the midst of massive devlopment projects.

CAN’T TOUCH THIS

I swear MC Hammer had a pair just like these in the 90’s. Sure, they aren’t of the same voluminous caliber, but I think they are as close as I will ever get to the orignals–for obvious reasons. When I saw myself in the mirror, I was a little taken aback by how unflattering these pants were…but then I started to think of all the possibilities of mixing and matching cropped sweaters and tees and sold myself on them! I think the one great redeeming quality of these leather pants is the high-waist. If it wasn’t for that, these would have been promptly shoved back on the rack.
