I got my Kate Moss x Teamo tshirt earlier this week and was soooo happy!!!! I used to buy a lot of tshirts with prints on them, but abruptly stopped because I got bored. I’d like to say, I still feel the same way, but I can make an exception in this case because I love the drawing and I love Kate! I think there is nothing better than a tee that you can slip into and still feel awesome in. I actually slept in this last night to try to soften and stretch out the cotton :)

YES, I’M AN HK MOVIE STAR

Dan had the clever suggestion to start taking pics in more populated locales because it adds an additional dimension to the photo, which I totally agree with.  What I found funny and new was the amount of people that just stopped dead in their tracks to stare. We were joking around that I should have told the oglers that I was a Hong Kong pop star or actress–ha!  As much as I am Canadian, I like to believe that I’m still very connected to the place that my parents came from. But that’s another story for another day, don’t want to bore you guys!

BLACK SHEEP

Reprieve from the wet! I’m so glad that we got one day out of this whole week without rain! Look at my new babies. My dear friend Maria from Norway helped me get my hands on these AMAZING Din Sko boots. They are everything that I’ve been craving for the last little while. Hard, lots of rubber, and height. Most common question: are those comfy? Well let me preempt you guys and tell you that they can be stilt-ish at times if you walk on really uneven surfaces; otherwise, surprisingly comfy.

WHEN IT RAINS IT POURS

Oh man. The weather has been absolutely dreadful for the last little bit. One sunny day out of the WHOLE week and I’m stuck behind my desk. Speaking of which; there are some interesting things brewing and I can’t wait to start on this new venture in my life. Soooooon….I can tell everyone my plans. Oh! What does everyone think of my new glasses? Peter and I randomly went eye glass shopping a couple weeks ago. I told him that I wanted something large and in charge…and well ridiculous. 15 pairs later and after a few too many ‘mmm’s and ‘hmmm’s, I picked this pair. Tortoise shell is the new black.

Ok, I usually refrain from posting images of celebrities, but I just could not resist posting these pix of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. I am completely in love with MK’s ensemble and want to recreate it ASAP. In her hobo-esque spirit, she wore an oversized jacket with a raggedy Hermes bag and velvet red platforms. I’m dying here people. She looks amazing and THIS is why MK is one of my fashion heroes!

IN THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS

I’ve decided I’m going to wear my sweaters on my shoulders now. Kinda like how a rich old grandma would wear her fur coat. I’ve worn this top a buh-jillion times since I first got it in the summer at Value Village. I’m still really in love with it, which says a lot coming from me because I have the attention span of an ADD-addled teenager.

ROCK HARD

Ok, so last night I went to a concert with my dear friend Aneesa to check out a band that we were both semi-obsessed with years ago. They were pretty boys with coiffed hair and slick 80’s synthy beats–kinda Killers but not. I actually got invited back onto the tour bus that night, which came very close to swooping me off to Oregan where they had their next show. Aneesa always tells me I shoulda stayed on the bus and lived a bohemian life. But of course, being who I am I got off because I had an organic chemistry midterm the next day. Long story short, I saw them again last night and kinda fell in love all over again.

ANNA SUI FOR TARGET

I thought I’d never say this, but thank god for Target. Without the success of their now very famous collaborations with Alexander McQueen, Proenza Schouler, and Anna Sui, where would Charlotte Ronson for JCPenny or Vera Wang for Kohl’s be? Probably non-existent. Target has been able to prove that you can take high-end, of-the-moment designers, encapsulate their ‘concept’ in 50 or less pieces and actually SELL. You see, I like this idea for two reasons: 1) you’re introducing an entirely different demographic to these incredibly talented individuals 2) you can get McQueen for less than $100 bucks. I’ve seen some grainy images of Rodarte’s collection and it’s just fantastic. Brain & wallet salivating.

CHAMA-CHAMA-CHAMA

CHAMA-CHAMA-CHAMELEEEEEEON. Ok, I couldn’t help it. Every time I see a bowler cap, I flashback to that iconic Boy George music video where his face is lacquered on and he has all these crazy braids in his hair. I’ve recently started lusting for hats. All shapes and sizes. Soon my closet will be FILLED with hats…a new day; a new infatuation. See more pix »
