ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST

Me: oh shit! They have H&M fur coats on sale for 50% off. Wallet: don’t fall for this–you have too many fur coats already! Me: But not in this pattern/color Wallet: stumped. Needless to say, my self-control is awful and I bought another piece of faux fur from H&M yesterday. Furs being the hot trend this fall/winter has not been good to me (accessibility through the roof). If you have seen my closet, you’ll understand: half of it is monopolized by fur coats/vests/scarves. I just cannot slap my hand hard enough. But I SWEAR! This is my last fur for…..now. But seriously, I got this jacket for $60 bucks!
Life has been rather hectic for the last month and a bit. I handed in my resignation letter about 2 weeks ago and will be a free woman starting January 1st! It’s scary and a bit overwhelming when I sit down and think about it, but I reckon now is a better time than any other to start a business and pursue my dreams. As I had hinted as far back as the summer, a store has been in the works. My 9-5 plus other obligations (namely LIFE) has gotten in the way and things seemed to have been stalled indefinitely until now. Luckily for me, I have a great advisor and web designer who’s going to help me and my blog make this rather big transition in the next little while.
And it’s funny. For you readers who have followed me from day 1 (ie my birthday when I officially started this blog) I wrote that The Haute Pursuit was created to escape the hum-drum of my everyday life. Little did I know at the time this seemingly innocuous hobby was going to turn into a full-fledged obsession and even be the instigator to start my own e-shop and much more. Serendipity has played a huge role in everything and I honestly cannot wait to see what happens next. With all my new found time starting January, I hope to update my blog more as well as write about my journey over to the dark side (self-employment) hehe.
To requote myself quoting another quote: Never stop dream’n.

Whoever takes your pictures is doing a phenomenal job. I think the largest part of a successful blog (fashion) is the photographer. Most girls wear amazing clothes and are beautiful but the right photographer can really set individual girls apart.
Good luck with your future endeavors. I’d love to be kept in the loop!
Amazing fur coat! Good choice. And loving your glasses also.
