ASCENSION
Ok, I’m really, really sorry about not posting shit for the last little while. I’ve been minus my sister (aka photographer) and have had some bad luck with the tripod. So yes….the ashsish booties!!! Aren’t they glorious? I’ll admit…even after seeing them on Lulu and Rumi, I still wasn’t convinced that these were as to-die-for as everyone was hyping them out to be. HOWEVER, when I saw them at TOPSHOP…I couldn’t resist giving them a try. Needless to say, as soon as I tried them on and towered over the sales people I was done. The deal was made. The sculptural detail, the leopard print, the texture of the shoe–it really lives up to the hype. If you have the means, buy them!
What have I been up to lately? I went back to work on Monday–tres weird. Everyone is asking me about my trip and all I can tell them is that New York has changedme. It has inspired me to seriously start pursuing a lot of things I was passionate about as a kid: making clothes, designing jewelry. I think sometimes when you get caught up in other people’s expectations of you, you forget what you want. I guess in a way, I fell into that trap.
I thought this photo looked funny. A little egg tucked into a nest…sorta…
This was the only shot I got of the shoes…a bird’s eye view. Take my word for it: they are totally worth it.

OOOooh AND your leopard platforms naturally deserve such a birds’s eye view because these “Fetish Fineries” truly sound as a wild “Fetish Dizzyness” on the Fall’s vegetable leaf’s carpet !!! AND I really like the way your RED polished toes instil a twist of Timeless GLAM on it . . .

Mia,
I think New York is different things for different people. I’ve heard people that have gone there and been underwhelmed. I think it depends on who you are and what you’re looking for. New York has made an indelible mark on me for a variety of reasons….who knows what it’ll be for you!

Ash,
Yes….we all do need a proverbial kick in the butt…and a smack in the face. I’m glad I took 2 weeks off in a different city with different people. Very thankful that I was able to go

Hey Erika,
Mmmm. I’m not sure how tall I am? I’m 5’6″ without any help…so maybe 6 feet with these on???
I just wish I was taller in general…maybe not 6 inches taller…I think 2 would be ideal
