Coltrane by Amihan Zemp is one of my favorite labels right now. Not only are the pieces well-executed and thought-out , but also sustainable, organic & eco-certified. I met Amihan several years ago while I was still living in Beijing. I was impressed then as I am now by her continued dedication and vision for the future of ethical fashion. If you take a look through her line – which I implore you to do, because it’s that good – you’ll quickly recognise there is no compromise on aesthetics. I am beyond obsessed! I feel privileged to be a small part of her journey as she continues to investigate & grow this beautiful line of her’s.
|Vintage denim – that’s sustainable? Yes! Vintage and second-hand is the original form of conservation & recycling. In a shopping climate that espouses a more-is-more model, I’m consciously trying to make better decisions. I’m not perfect – none of us are – but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try! Enter Gallery Department a denim haven for anyone looking to be fitted with their dream 501s. Josue Thomas, the founder is a collector, fitting maestro and good friend. I can honestly say I have never worn a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g like this. My 501s finally feel like they belong to me! Homecoming long overdue.|
