Under an eerily pink glowing canopy of freshly bloomed cherry blossoms, Dan and I descended upon our flower inspired shoot for a guest blog post for Revolve Clothing. I think one of the most beautiful times in Vancouver is right when the city is on the eve of full-blown spring. The sun shines a little harder and there seems to be a new skip in everyone’s step. I just want to sit outside all day and let the sun numb my brain and bring that oh-so-desirable glow back to my complexion. But alas, work has to be done and the sun will have to wait!
Looking at these photos now and thinking of our shoot in retrospect, it was very tea party-esque–an unintentional ode to Alice? All that’s missing is a big bow in my hair and some China. And seeing that we are on the topic, one of my favorite past times in high school was going for high tea with my girlfriends as we attempted to be ladies at lunch with our English Breakfasts and Early Greys and tiered trays aplomb with cucumber sandwiches and other treats. If you’ve never gone and want to indulge yourself, I urge you to book an appointment at your nearest tea house now!
After languishing for a few months in shopping limbo as I tried to find the perfect white lace blouse, I found this darling piece on Revolve Clothing, which was kindly sent to me. I’m all sorts of obsessed with lace, especially when it comes in any color other than black. In white, it’s extra pretty/fragile/delicate and oh-so-girly. When paired with something quite opposite like my boxy leather trousers, the outfit suddenly becomes a little magical and unexpected!
