BLACK OUT

Ok, I cannot begin to tell you how freaking crazy I am about this new black crop top I got from Aritzia. It kinda looks like the ones that Complex Geometries makes, no? Except for a fraction of the price. I love it when you can just wear something so elementarily simple (like a black tshirt) and twist it and pull into something unique.

Oh! and I finally received my faux leather Silence&Noise pants from my friend Serena (thanks beautiful!) and they fit like a dream! For those of you who may remember a post a while back, I had bought a pair of Horace leather pants from OAKNYC for way too much and they ended up fitting like shit. I seriously had not worn such ill-fitting pants in my life!

Black: my friend and foe. Friend because it’s so easy to wear. Foe because it can make me look way too shrunken if worn in the wrong dimensions. So, with some trepidation, I threw this outfit together and to my surprise it worked out brilliantly! I really love it. I think I’m going to wear it to my next outing. It makes me feel so badaaaaas!!

Anyways, this week has been pretty busy. I’m going to start a store linked to my blog in about a month or so. I have so much stuff (some of which still has tags on them) that I just don’t have enough room for. I will keep everyone posted, but it’s pretty exciting. Otherwise, what else? I’ve been climbing, getting into trouble with boys, reading a book on yoga discipline (I’m curious), and polishing off some new jewelry posts.

Such sad news about MJ. My Dad was obsessed with Motown, so I grew up with a lot of Jackson 5. Really fond memories.

Wearing Wilfred cropped tshirt, Silence&noise faux leather skinny pants, Forever21 fringe booties, Alexander Wang Brenda bag, mix of jewelry from Forever21, Tiffany’s, and H&M.

    Hey Emma,
I don’t tend to buy shoes from F21, but how could I resist these??? I was contemplating buying the real version, but decided to not splurge on any more Alex Wang until the fall. hehe.

    Hi Rebecca!
I actually returned the pants pretty much right after I got them :( they were 500 USD, which at the time cost me close to 650 CDN…..scary!
But speaking of selling ‘stuff’ as I already hinted on this post…I’m going to start a store and hopefully give you readers some awesome deals :D

Ana! Sometimes, I’m really amazed by some of the scenery I have in my own back yard. For the Vancouverites who read the blog this is at Quilchena Elementary. The backdrop is an adorable painting that the kids did that celebrate peace! How freaking awesome is that?

    Hey Connie!
Yeah…when it comes to bags, I’m a little less adventurous in terms of color. I also have never seen anything that I’m willing to splurge on that’s not black/white. We’ll see!!
