BLACK SHEEP

Reprieve from the wet! I’m so glad that we got one day out of this whole week without rain! Look at my new babies. My dear friend Maria from Norway helped me get my hands on these AMAZING Din Sko boots. They are everything that I’ve been craving for the last little while. Hard, lots of rubber, and height. Most common question: are those comfy? Well let me preempt you guys and tell you that they can be stilt-ish at times if you walk on really uneven surfaces; otherwise, surprisingly comfy.

Ooooh. And this is my favorite new fur coat. I got it from Value Village in the summer for $20 dollars. What a steal right??? Another one of those instances when I just saw it tucked far in the back with the arm sticking out…calling out to me. I was originally going to take in the shoulders but I kinda like the exaggerated look. If anything, shoulders are IN right now, so may as well ride the wave.

Ah, the neon green signs. Dan and I wandered around after shooting in front of that abandoned warehouse and found this spectacularly neon green Chinese DVD store. I remember as a kid my Mom and Dad always used to buy us Chinese dramas, comedies and TV series on LASER DISC –if you weren’t around for them, they are GIANT CD looking monsters.

    Hey Michelle,
The asish leopard boots are well over 4 inches. I would say maybe even over 5? I can go home and measure them for you :) I’ll email you the results.

    Freddie,
I’ve been thinking of getting a tatoo since I was 15. The problem is: I can’t really ever make up my mind on these matters. I don’t want anything big because that’s not my style. I’ve always wanted a bunch of small ones….we’ll see!

    Cat…
    I responded on your blog!!!
And for anyone else interested: I don’t color my own hair. I’ve tried a few times in the past, and the box doesn’t like my slippery Asian hair. Color never sticks, so I have to get it done professionally. If anyone lives in Vancity, let me know and I can give you my hair dresser’s name :)

    Myriam…
I totally agree! I’ve wanted to rewear this Kane tshirt for ages, but I’m kinda sick of just wearing it with a pair of pants….so I just tucked the whole thing into this wool bodycon skirt :) I think it worked out well!
