Me and Christopher Kane were meant to be. Seriously. The much awaited launch of his line for TOPSHOP debuted on the same day I was supposed to launch outta New York. I got there right when they opened and pretty much tried on every piece of his collection. I loved how a lot of the stuff was black and a little harder. Even better were his neon dresses that were studded and grommeted–I seriously almost bought one of the mesh dresses, but told myself ‘NO! You’ve spent too much already’. But what I really wanted was his tee. I saw the dress too but it was a little too long.
I dunno what it is about these wild-life graphics that make everyone so crazy; I mean after all, it’s just a silk screen print of an alligator opening it’s mouth. Maybe it’s hype, maybe it’s art on a tee, but it doesn’t matter because I have it and love it! The cut is really great too. Kinda a boyfriend-tee hack job silhouette that means if you and your beau are roughly the same size, it can be shared.
I also decided to add on this absolutely crazy fur scarf that I got from the Brooklyn flea market because it kinda looks like the alligator is eating it. I’ve never quite seen anything like it before and really it was love at first sight. You can never go wrong with something you love right? The white knubs are the best!
The weather as you can see has been rather dreary lately. I don’t mind the grey but it makes taking pictures a little tricky. I’m standing at a Canada Line station here. It’s gonna be so weird to see them packed with tourists once the Olympics arrive…..

I love the Christopher Kane line for Topshop ! I’ve bougt the Crocodile dress and i’m loving it ! (But you’re right, it’s a bit too long !) You’re lucky seeing the collection “for real” !

the tee looks so good on you; it was like it was made for you =) but i think i like it even more because of what you paired it with – leather, knits, and those sam edelmans!

I can only speak for myself but I love them. They are moderately easy to walk in…definitely something I can wear to the bar at night and be mildly comf. If you’re not used to wearing high platforms…it’ll get some getting used to, but I think they are totally worth it.
The quality is not that great for $300+ bones, but hey. Hype = mega price inflation.
