After another bitter winter, Beijing appears to finally be loosening its reign on the whole terrible weather thing. And what better way to kick off the more blog-hospitable conditions than a mini skirt and heels?

Squirreled away for the last few months, this little mini has seen little play other than the occasional dress up in lieu of the winter blues. And trust me, there were a lot of these sessions. I’m a west coast baby true and through, and no amount of time or ‘acclimation’ (I don’t think this exists for us coastal types) will ever condition me for these bone-numbing temperatures. Needless to say, this skirt played many a part in my ‘imaginary’ fall outfits. Now, I just have to make the most of this small time-window before Beijing transitions into full, blisteringly hot summer mode.

And…I know, I know. Leopard on leopard? Would you even believe me if I told you this was an accident? Insta-Pursuiters (newly coined instagram moniker for you all ) will remember I was going to wear it with this jacket (notably first worn here with the ‘dog’ tee) , but well it got too cold, and the real-life jacket became the blog-jacket. If anything, I try to look as uncoordinated as I can usually. I’m an entropic dresser. More disorder, more awesomeness. But today…well maybe on some level I was looking for some synchrony. Notice the middle part in place of the usual messy side toss?
