DIY MIU MIU SWALLOW TIGHTS
So after much procrastination, I finally got down to painting a pair of navy tights with white swallows inspired by a DIY I saw on Les Cheap C’est Chic (and specifically FVNCY blog). Like almost everyone else I know, I’m desperately in love with the swallow/cat/flower prints of Miu Miu’s S/S10 collection. I’ve always considered Miuccia Prada to be a very smart designer…in the sense that you see her wit, playfulness and appreciation of women in her clothing. I’m actually on the wait list to buy a pair of platform swallow printed Mary Janes from Holt Renfrew….but we will see. Apparently they are only getting something like 23 pairs in all of Canada! If there is one thing I want for spring, it’s these shoes!!!! Cross your fingers for me people 
I have to admit, I fucked up my first pair because I was drawing the birds way too small. I thought I was doing pretty well, but then I looked in the mirror and realized my swallows looked more like snow flakes! Tsk Tsk. In this case, bigger is better, otherwise you really lose all shape of the swallow. I’ll write a detailed DIY tonight so that for you adventurous types (or those who just have an excess of stockings kicking around) will have a concise game plan to create these on your own.
In Vancouver it’s starting to look mighty Spring-y. The sun wakes me up every morning and the weather is almost warm enough to wear shorts. Am I crazy for trying my bikini’s on again????? I’m already looking at a new suit for this summer. Kinda premature I guess, but there really is nothing more epic than summers in Vancouver at the beach.
Oh and I want to thank you guys for being so eager to shop at The Haute Pursuit! I think buying clothes can be excessive (and even wasteful at times) so I’m extremely happy to see that mine are going to new loving homes…instead of just wasting away in my already too-full closet! More items will be added this week including vintage and shoes!

Seriously, awesome freaking job! You styled them impeccably too and im really inspired to pair sheer tights with cut-offs tomorrow. reminds me i need to get polka dot sheer tights which i still have yet to do despite the trend being massive right now.
