FAST TIMES AT KITS HIGH
October 13th, 2009 - 21 Comments »
So over the long weekend, my friend Tess and I got together for some Sbux and a quick shoot at the old high school. Most notable change: signs bolted all over the school saying that it was a ’smoke-free zone’. The smoke pit will never be the same…
The long weekend was a very productive one: cleaning up my room, catching up on House, and collecting a seemingly endless list of materials for my peacock costume. I thought this year I would divert from the usual sexy authority/medical figure and do something a little more original. I always tell people around this season that I’ve been everything from a naval officer to Wonder Woman. Yes, I’ve been busy these last few years.
But what I’m most excited about is dressing up as Slash on the Friday before Hween. I pretty much have all the clothes required to be him…all I need to do is curl every inch of my hair and tease it to give myself his legendary coif. Oh and I need a fake nose ring. And a bottle of JD. But I digresss. My bestie is dressing up as Axl (maybe we should argue all night in honor of the duo?). We were joking around that we need a Stefanie Seymour. Do you remember November Rain? She was smoking hot in it. Epic.
I got another faux fur vest. AHHHHH. I went into H&M a few days ago strictly searching for any new Exclusive Divided items, but only found a couple overpriced jackets and dresses. I guess all the good stuff has been snapped up already? Oooooh and I got two new Revlon lipsticks: Black Cherry (an uber gothy chic shade of purpley red that I CANNOT wait to wear) and Strawberry Pie, which is kinda coral-y and cute.
I’m in the process of doing a blog face lift….think bigger pictures and a tab to my store. I’ve started to collect a lot of vintage stuff that I plan to sell. I really admire sites like nastygal that’s done an incredible job of picking up diamonds in the rough and bringing it to the masses. I get to eat a whole bird to myself tonight (don’t worry it’s only a Cornish hen…I wonder if it has high levels of Tryptophan as well?)
Wearing H&M faux fur vest, Vintage Motorcycle jacket, T by Alexander Wang Pocket tee, Christopher Kane for TOPSHOP bucket purse, Steve Madden sling-back platforms

This year for Halloween I’m going to dress up as a sweet lolita girl which I went as for an anime convention (yes! I love that stuff :] ). I have never seen my self as sexy and I always felt that dressing as anything sexy would have looked awkward on me XD Oh well! But anyways can’t wait to see your costume!! Can’t believe the 31st is just around the corner >.<
Do you already have a store or are you starting one up? Hmmm can't wait to see your items
Your Steve Maddens are freakin’ amazing; and I love the faux-fur <3 You never fail, girl!
Great look and style. I love that vest. So pretty. And the bag too.

Donna,
In the store, I’m going to sell pieces from my own closet (think Lulu and Your Shoes, Shop Fashiontoast etc) as well as hand-picked Vintage items (like http://www.nastygalvintage.com) I’ve collected over the last little bit. It’s coming soon, my dear.

waaaait. Are those 4reels steve maddens? I have the EXACTsame pair but they’re Report. Witchy dude.
plus, sweet costume idea. I’m gonna be a goat. I could use that vest.
Leatherette,
Yeah they are. I think a bunch of people made different versions of these. I know Urban outfitters sold similar ones at one point (higher heel though) and I also think Elizabeth and James sold them too (way over priced)

Gosh, I think that if you ever did a wardrobe post, I ‘d die!
I ‘ve yet to see an outfit on you that I wouldn’t like, and I don’t think that’s ever happening!!!
Hmm, btw maybe I should dig out a couple of faux furry vests I have somewhere….

Jasna dear,
I don’t post my photos through a middle man…all the photos you see on my blog are directly loaded into my wordpress. I’m just going to load them at larger dimensions once I expand the width of my blog….it’s all being taken care of by my friend. Sorry can’t be of more help!

Hey Nicole!!
Yeah I just bought the corset last night and am hoping to take a day off work so I can sew/glue everything on….it should be interesting…

when the words “corset” and “peacock” are involved, I can already tell that your costume is going to be HAWT hahaha
Nicole…
Haha…yeah…have you ever been laced into one? They are kinda painful. I yelped several times. Apparently I can get down to a 21 inch waist. EEEEEEEEK. Corsets are not for the weak my friend.
