Goldfinch Cafe

one of my favorite movies of all time, In The Mood For Love was shot in this cafe in Causeway Bay. kitsch factor out of this roof with all the token Hong Kong ‘American’ cafe fare like steak on fried rice and syrupy milk teas. so surreal. if you’re a Wong Kar Wai fan (especially if you are a fan of this movie or 2046) you MUST come here. only in Hong Kong. like a time capsule.

    I LOVE every image in that movie, so aesthetically pleasing. I’m sad I never got to visit this cafe when I lived in Hong Kong :(

    I have been a fan of Wong Kar Wai for years! I think In The Mood for Love is one of the best movies ever made and the locations were so stunning so you are very lucky x

    Coincidentally, before I even read the text beneath your image, I was immediately reminded of In The Mood For Love! It’s one of my all time favourites too, the settings, her cheongsam dresses, the colours…ahhh…..
