I got this beautiful House of Harlow head piece from Holt Renfrew a few months ago and have been madly in love with it since. I have to admit: I wasn’t initially enamored with some of the first pieces I saw because they had too much of an art-deco-y feel to it, but this piece is an excellent exception. I really love how it has a middle strand, which lays perfectly down the center of where I part my hair.
I felt like I was channeling 70′s-groupie here with my ensemble. Have you ever taken a look back at the famous groupie-cum-girlfriends of the Beatles and Stones in the 60′s and 70′s? They were all sexy as hell and had wardrobes that just screamed ‘I’m with the band’. I really love that era in music and culture–psychedelics, free love, experimentation, and hippies.
And a fun tidbit: I think I’m going to take the plunge and get a little tattoo on the side of my wirst. My gf is obsessed with getting them, so I think we’re going to go together and bond. I’ve wanted one since I was 16 (when the tramp stamp was all the rage <shudder>), but could never choose.Maybe this Thursday. Will keep you posted.

Hi my dear!
I found mine on eBay a while ago, and got them for about the same price as they were selling on TOPSHOP, maybe $50 bucks more? My suggestion: stalk ebay. I used terms like: emma cook crepe boot, emma cook for topshop, crepe boot, pretty much everything under the sun I could think of

Phoebe…I thought i could totally not pull it off either. I tried it on on a whim. I struggled with it for a while, but after some adjustments I got it! I’ve always loved head pieces and i’m so glad I finally got one.
