I feel like I’ve been swept up in a tornado of errands and to-do lists in preparation for my trip to New York in T – 7 days (omg one fucking week)! I’m heading to New York this time around to guest speak at the Chictopia 10 Conference. I’m also stoked to finally meet one of my newly acquired internet friends, Quan aka GeneticBoi who I think is so singular in his vision and execution that it is only a matter of time before he breaks out and shoots editorials for the Vogues/Elles/Ws and Purple Mags of the world. We’re doing a shoot the weekend I arrive and I CANNOT wait to get Quan-ified. Hahah

Lily and I were invited to JNBY last week to check out their new Fall 10 collection–super sleek, minimalist, and architectural. Essentially everything in their store is built for wear in the long run. Nothing is super trendy, but everything is VERY modern. Ie I could probably shelf this dress in my closet for 10 years, pull it out and wear it with no problem of looking dated. AND! It’s incredibly comfy. I was joking to Lily that wearing this voluminous dress felt like getting lost in bed sheets!

Ok back to it I go. I also want to make a couple skirts and dresses for New York. We’ll see how that goes! This weekend is the weekend to catch up.

    I love the hapless look of the draping on that dress, it clings/drapes in all the right places and I love that despite how random and casual the draping is, it has a flattering silhouette and shows your slim figure. Also love the charcoal grey with the military green and leopard print. Your hair is looking lovely as always and I’m so excited for you to go to NYC!     will you be in nyc for the ifb conference too?! i am going to be attending that one :) i also can’t wait to see what you are up to in nyc, like pics and stuff. it would also be so amazing to run into you somewhere!
