IN THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS
November 14th, 2009 - 35 Comments »
I’ve decided I’m going to wear my sweaters on my shoulders now. Kinda like how a rich old grandma would wear her fur coat. I’ve worn this top a buh-jillion times since I first got it in the summer at Value Village. I’m still really in love with it, which says a lot coming from me because I have the attention span of an ADD-addled teenager.
Maybe I should wear more colors. I just never find anything that I like that’s bright. I’m seriously trying to reel myself in! My closet is filled with nudes and blacks–not that I’m complaining–but it’d be nice to add some punctuations of brightness here and there.
I’m starting to think of what I’m going to wear for NYE. A bunch of my friends are going to a big party hosted at Science World, and I opted outta it. I’ve just gone to cheesy big parties every year and I’m thinking 2010 will need to start off with a ‘new’ bang. I’m looking at this velvet jumpsuit on ASOS and hopefully try to recreate a look from the Chloe spring collection….thoughts?
Wearing Zara sweater, vintage blouse, Silence + Noise leather pants, Steve Madden sling back platforms, Brenda Alexander Wang bag

Gorgeous pictures, as always! And I have the same problem in my closet – it is full of grays and blacks, and not nearly enough color. Also, that ASOS jumpsuit is incredible, I can’t wait to see how you style it! I’m stalking this Elizabeth & James skirt on ebay for New Years, even though it feels so early to be thinking about it!

aww thanks Sushi!
I just went to Holt Renfrew yesterday and saw the ‘new’ version of the brenda bag and there’s slightly more distressing around the edges…has anyone else noticed that? The zipper heads are also different, shaped like an A, which is the only new thing that I like….

You would look absolutely stunning in bright colors! Don’t be afraid of them. The vintage blouse, BTW is so beautiful. I’m gravitating towards more print and colors myself.
