JACKET REQUIRED
When I think of a white blazer, I think of Miami Vice and Saturday Night Fever. I think of Bianca Jagger swaggering into Studio 54 in a gender-bending white YSL pant suit. I’ve always loved the idea of a man’s jacket: the details in the tailoring, the shape, cut and boxiness. Coupled with something comparatively opposite like a bodycon dress or shorts is so painfully chic.
In the pursuit of the perfect white blazer, I scoured over numerous racks in both high and low end stores, but came up with nothing. Then, just last week when I was doing my weekend rounds on Robson I found a bunch of white jackets at Zara–all very affordable and well-cut. Patience is not a virtue of mine, so I laud myself for toughing it out and not indulging in yet another obscene purchase: yay me!
