SILK SCREEN
I love this pajama top that belongs to my Mom. She had the most beautiful night gowns and sleepwear when I was growing up–silk, lace, always in champagne and creamy colors. I wish I had the impulse to dress well every moment of the day like my Mom used to….my sleepwear usually consists of a baggy tshirt and boy shorts–soooo stylish! But don’t fear! I got the cutest Betsy Johnson nighty right before I left for NY. Definitely prance-worthy.
When I saw this silk top reappear in my Mom’s closet (I think it was dry cleaned or something) I couldn’t help but put it on. There’s something so luxurious about silk, no? It’s a very impractical fabric, but it looks AMAZING!
And I gotta tell you, after walking around in mainly chunky 6′ platforms, these 4 inch over-the-knee boots were a DREAM to walk in…no fear of teetering over on uneven roads or speed bumps….
And boy was it nostalgic to wander around the Anthropology museum/building. I took a sociology class there back in first year and always thought what a god-forsaken spot the building was in. But you see, I never really walked around (always had to run off to my next class); if I had, I would have realized that right behind the school is an incredible grassy knoll that you can stand atop of and look out at the most western point of Vancouver. They also happen to be recreating a First Nations community from Nova Scotia there–so cool.

AND you really know How to electrify this “turned into day to day dressing sleepwear piece” ‘s so silky Appeal, . . . by adorning it on such a laid back/sulfurous”GLAM Rocko-SM CHIC-issime” vibrancy !!!!
ps: Mmmh you know, I am a “self-proclaimed expert ès GLAM Forecasts”, AND so I (highly) suspect you to be very “Sexy BOMBnextDoor” even in baggy T shirts AND boy shorts . . . BUT this precious finery ideally illustrates a certain idea of “nocturnal Exquisite-ness” (a fortiori with such an underlying affective aura) !!!!

I love how unexpected this outfit is, especially the cropped leather jacket paired with the long button-down shirt. I won’t even start on the boots — there isn’t enough time in the world to discuss their amazing-ness!.

Thanks Brittany!
The PJ top definitely made the whole outfit. I love juxtaposing softer elements with harder ones. It seems to be a recipe for success all the time….

Donna,
Well this is a part of UBC…a small part actually. UBC is effing huge. I think it’s one of the largest universities in North America (in terms of land mass). Yeah I’m so glad I went to UBC. It’s uber beautiful to walk around in.

you totally worked that silk pajama top like nobody’s business! love how you combined the soft feminine colour and fabric with edgy elements like the leather jacket and your boots, even your deconstructed denim shorts! they all amalgamate into an amazing outfit. the setting of your photographs help to frame and enhance the overall look. rocker chic hot!
