SNUFFALUFFA-WHA???!!!
December 14th, 2009 - 40 Comments »
Ok, I really couldn’t resist, but doesn’t this mohair jacket totally look like what Snuffaluffagus would be made of? I gotta say, I always thought Snuff was the coolest muppet on Sesame street because <hello!> it’s a WOOLY MAMMOTH. Anyways, enough of this before I veer off onto a tangent, so random and useless that I may never come back. Other than the jacket being a really great shade of brown and hairy (I like textures remember) it’s also surprisingly warm! Isn’t it grand when you find something that pleasures both the eyes and the senses?
I was playing around with this jacket and a few other things that I got from Value Village on Saturday. I hadn’t been in so long that I was uber excited to see what I could find. I plowed through the jacket section and probably picked up enough to fill a shopping cart…but alas just came out with two, this being one. I’ve been feeling like I want to revisit Mary Kate’s hobo/gypsy/bag lady look again. Have i mentioned that she’s one of my all-time faves? Well anyways, I think this a step in the right direction. Looking back at a lot of my old posts has made me realize how all-over-the-place my dressing is. So I guess I shouldn’t feel so bad when people ask that oh-so formidable question: ‘what is your style’. Me: ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Oh and I guess you can’t really tell from these pictures but we got our first snowfall today and it was really beautiful. Thank god for me that it didn’t stick, otherwise it would have been preee-ty hard to take pictures. Can you believe it’s so close to Christmas already?? And then New Years? I think my favorite thing to do during the festive season is to walk around downtown and through the malls. The Christmas spirit–albeit more and more manufactured each year–still puts a big ass smile on my face. HAPPY FESTIVUS!

As for you and your outfit…that first photo is sublime! just perfect with your turban. I agree i loved MK’s bag lady look even though she got lots shit for it. I love your look. you always look so amazing and you have an amazing collection of shoes that I am constantly drooling over!

I love that each of your outfits are so different. The wide leg trousers are so offbeat compared to what I’ve been seeing lately, and they are so classic. Great find on the snuffy sweater too!
Also, thanks for checking out my blog! It is always wonderful to hear from prominent bloggers like yourself. I do try to stick to my guns on what I post, posting what I like and what I feel, so thanks for noticing. As for the “black hole effect” of fashion blogging, I’ve been just trying to tune those ones out lately, sticking to the ones that truly are inspiring, and also trying to tune out my own analytics and visitor counter. Sometimes I get too caught up in the stupid stats.
Thanks again, you’re definitely an inspiration!
