THROUGH THE WIRE
So on a rather dreary Sunday, Tess and I met up in Kits and went to the local farmers market in her hood. In case you haven’t caught on yet, I’m pretty passionate about all things food. Making it and more importantly eating it is one of my favorite past times. Ergo, a market with all types of organic veggies, fruit and homemade food-to-go is a real indulgence. I hope this trumps any misconceptions that I only take pleasure in shopping for clothes! Some high lights of the market included a trailer that served hot savory crepes that made the entire block smell like buttery heaven and an apple vendor that had varieties that left a strawberry or pineapple after taste in your mouth. Spectacular.
Oh and one of my other culinary passions is warped fruit/veggies. How cool is this squash? I also found this eggplant that had the most endearing knub that I almost bought it just to have it. I wish our markets were larger like the ones in NYC. When I was there I used to go to Union Square during the week and get bread, fruit and just sit down, munch and observe. Maybe I’ll do that next time. We were kinda in a rush to take photos yesterday because the weather was uncooperative to say the least. I actually don’t mind the gray so much. It makes me want to just curl up at home and read or blog….which happens to be quite enjoyable!
Pssst. I’m working off my brand new Macbook Pro!!!! This thing is incredible. I started using a Mac years ago when I really didn’t have another choice. My then beau only had a Mac and I was basically forced to learn it otherwise I couldn’t read my daily RSS feeds or access email. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Anyways, it’s great. Loooooveeeee
I love these almost neon yellow-green trees near Tess’ house. They are just stellar.

DV,
Yeah it’s the park right behind the skating rink. It’s where the farmer’s market is on the weekend sometimes..

Hi Antonia!
I love layers. I think it’s one of the greatest things of living up north: plenty of bundling-up time

Can you please, please do an entry on how you do your hair (like, what products do you use, how you “do” your hair)?
Thanks ever-so-much! I’ve been following your blog for awhile now! =)

I love farmer’s market food! My friend from Virginia brought down this homemade white peach jam and I almost melted. Something about fresh and organic is just so amazing! You should def include more food in your blog! Just seeing your pics makes me want to eat more fruits.
Take care!

Fi…
I’ve actually never gotten a request about how I do my hair!! I’d like to give most kudos to my hair dresser–without her, I don’t know what I’d do….So here goes:
*let me preface this by saying first what I use in my hair in the shower: Mane N’ Tail Shampoo and Conditioner–and yes, you can find this in your animal AND human shampoo section*
I then use Paul Mitchell’s Super Skinny to protect it from the heat as well as accelerate the drying process. For volume at the roots I use Pantene Gel Volumizer. Then a quick blow dry and then straightening and I’m done. When my hair isn’t straight I usually wear it a little curly at the ends, which I accomplish by just tying my hair in a bun right after I blow dry it.
God, this looks LONG!!!!

Awww thanks Emilie!
especially because I almost paid 100 bucks for them…heh
Previous to this I only wore the liquid leggings once or twice–then there was an explosion of them everywhere. So I tucked them away….and then found them a couple days ago. I was tres happy
