YELLOW FEVER

yellowrodarte2

Here is the beautiful Rodarte for Target dress that I got back in December. So clearly there is a bit of a booby problem here. I’m the first to admit that I’m flat chested, so wasn’t all too surprised when this dress looked a little deflated around the chest region. Besides that, this dress is the prettiest thing in the world!

Dan and I wandered back down to gastown to snap these pics, because well I love it there. If I could buy property anywhere in this city, it’d have to be in Gastown and the downtown east side. Sure it’s gritty and scary and smelly but it’s where a lot of Vancouver’s historic buildings are still standing. I’m also sick and tired of all these sky boxes that have sprouted up all over the city. I have a few friends with posh homes in the downtown core and as I do appreciate the minimal and modern esthetic of the rooms, they are ALL the SAME! Blah! <ok, stop ranting>

I’ve been wearing this fur coat everywhere recently (including in the rain). Can’t help but feel like a wet dog in it. Should probably start carrying an umbrelly with me. Oh and thanks for sending in all those great questions! I think I’ll post up my responses on Friday…so keep ‘em coming!!!!!

love love love this dress. you look gorgeous! why no target in vancouver? it breaks my heart that we don’t have easy access to the designer collabs. clearly the rodarte one was worth crossing the line for though. je suis tres jaloux of the booties too.

wow you totally do that dress justice with your hot red lips and amazing BCBG boots! and of course the fur, the whole look wouldn’t be you without the fur ;)

I love the layers on the skirt and really love the bows on the shoulder – so pretty!

and YES the ban is FINALLY OVER!! it actually wasn’t as bad as I initially thought it would be and I doubt I saved that much money because it ended just before boxing day and well.. you know how that goes lol.

I love your love for shiny things. esp your excess of accessories, I can’t get enough of it. alright lady, looking forward to FEB-ish then! xo

I definitely feel bad about putting this out there because I know it’s important to promote healthy body image for woman of all shapes and sizes, but I think flat chested girls are super sexy as all hell. I’m a bee-stings girl myself and I just think that, especially in these kinds of ensembles, it looks better with no boobs? More haute, and less hoochie. Right? Ahaha. I don’t know, the point is you look AMAZING and do not worry about the flatness because I actually think it’s what takes this outfit to the next level.

gorgeous gorgeous dress!! ugh a lot of Rodarte stuff is sold out or in store only and that sucks for some of us in London ! Would love Rodarte for Topshop some day!!! ;-)

And it’s true. I envied the blue buildings of Yale town, etc when I was at UBC, but after visiting New York, living in Paris and now living in London I prefer old building with character. Not predictable ones where you know exactly where your neighbors bathroom is located in relation to yours. hehehe
