YOUNG AND RESTLESS

Ahhh, leather on leather. It’s kinda wrong but right. I got these delicious white leather pants (I have similar ones in black here) about a month ago when I was looking for stuff to use for Halloween. It’s so typical of me to find something that I’m not looking for. I remember my friend Monica was like: ‘oh you found something for your costume?’….uh…sure…..

Anyways, these still need some work because it’s a little too loose around the waist…and I want to finish the bottoms instead of just folding them up all the time; that being said, it really doesn’t look that bad….Oh and these damn Ashish booties. I swear I can only wear them safely on flat concrete because it takes some serious skill to walk around on pebbly surfaces. I will master these shoes I swear!  They are too lovely to stock away.

I’ve spent the last couple of days wasting away in this dreadful weather talking to Peter about movies, existentialism-and how I’ll never appreciate it in literature, and my imminent move to NYC. I think he’s kinda homesick, which makes me homesick even though it’s never been a home to me (it just feels like it). Sometimes I’m torn about it all. Sometimes I think I should just stay in Vancouver, do what everyone else does, make some money and grow up. But then I think about how I’ve been inexplicably unhappy for the last 2-3 years and realize I can’t deny the obvious: I really don’t belong here. Vancouver is a great city, but it’s not for me; at least not right now.

I guess this just comes with the territory of being young and restless. I have some pretty big dreams and I’m crazy about everything fashion. I’m no expert, but I’m so eager to learn and learn fast. This just ain’t the place to do it, homies.

It’s late and I’m getting introspective. Why do I get so verbose at what-is-the-meaning-of-life at night?? TIME TO STOP!!! P.S. I started another blog of random shit that catches my eye. If you don’t like slugs, don’t click here: http://thehautestuff.tumblr.com/

I love the pants- I couldn’t even tell they are leather. I totally feel you on needing to move on. Some places just aren’t big enough, right? :D

This look is spectacular! I love all of it, the high-waisted pants, the leopard wedge booties, the sheer top, the studded cuffs! A+++ my dear.

I vote that you move to NYC. You only live once, right? And you’re also only young once, so go enjoy life as it should be enjoyed. I currently reside in Raleigh, NC because of school but I don’t feel like it’s ‘home’. I studied abroad in Hong Kong for a semester, and let me tell you, I fell in love. I love all of the hustle and bustle and all of the bumping and the pushing on the subway, even though it’s sometimes rude. Just the mixture of culture and the wacky fashions caught my eye. It was SO refreshing :)

I’m a strong advocate for doing what feels right and what’s truly in your heart :) I always say don’t think JUST DO IT.

    Take care girl!
